Carlos Tevez: The Key to Manchester City’s Title Hopes

Since departing Old Trafford under a cloud in the summer of 2009 following his infamous fallout with Sir Alex Ferguson, Tevez has forced the wily old Scottish manager to eat his words. Tevez joined the City revolution in July 2009 and in his first season won fans over with his energy and dynamism in attack. This season Tevez has upped the ante, single handedly dragging Manchester City to the brink of their first league title in over 40 years.

Last week Manchester City unveiled their latest big money signing, £27 million Edin Dzeko. A prolific striker with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, Dzeko looked a tidy player on his debut but even he couldn’t keep up with Carlos Tevez‘s wizadry, as the diminutive attacker scored a Maradona-esque goal. Manchester City have as good a chance as any to win the title this season. And that’s all down to Carlos Tevez.
