Some fans will have woken up this morning chuffed with their club’s business over the past month, amazed to see players in their club’s strip that they had only dreamed of signing in Championship Manager. Others will be kicking themselves that their replica Torres jersey is now defunct.

Which ever way you twist it, the January transfer window has ignited new found interest in the Premiership. After a spell where Spanish football dominated proceedings, the spotlight has turned back towards Premier League and the shift in power is in motion.

How long before Cristiano Ronaldo comes knocking on Sir Alex Ferguson‘s door pleading for a return? Or Emmanuel Adebayor wants back in to the greatest league on the planet? The recent spending spree will have alerted the likes of Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney and any others who were weighing up a move abroad that England is still the place to be and nobody dishes out ducats like Premiership paymasters.
