Exclusive: Chelsea Celebrate Cup Victory
Hiddink inspires Blues
In a heat, sweltering Wembley cloaked in blue, Chelsea’s love affair with Guus Hiddink ended in style as the Londoners overpowered Everton to take this year’s FA Cup. After conceding an early goal from a Louis Saha strike, Drogba and Lampard dispatched clinical finishes to end the resistance of a lethargic Toffees side clearly affected by the warm conditions.

Mikel drinks up the FA Cup success
Special praise must go to striker Didier Drogba. Following his altercation with the media after the infamous Barca match, Drogba’s reputation was given a thorough battering by fans around the world. The real Drogs turned up today and his cool finish and general nuisance to the opposition defence played a critical role in Chelsea’s fortunes. But the event was only ever going to be about one man – the wily, old Dutchman. The arrival of Hiddink earlier this year signaled a new dawn at Stamford Bridge as the master tactician lifted the players and injected new belief into an ageing side. Chelsea staff, players and fans will miss Hiddink.
