The first trophy won since the ‘Special One’ left West London, yesterday’s FA Cup victory might just signal the rejuvenation of a waning Blues force. During Abramovich’s first two years in command, Chelsea stood head and shoulders above the competition. But the club’s inability in recent seasons to re-freshen their squad has allowed the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool to leapfrog them in the challenge for honor. Success is an addictive drug and Abramovich clearly enjoyed what he tasted at Wembley. Look out Sir Alex and Rafa, Roman’s got the bug again.
