Showdown in Chinatown

If you happen to be in New York City tomorrow, it’ll be worth heading down to Sara D. Roosevelt Park in the Lower East Side for the second annual “Showdown in Chinatown.” The charity event is organized by basketball superstar and football aficionado (not to mention Spurs supporter) Steve Nash.

Last year’s event saw players like Robbie Fowler, Thierry Henry, Salomon Kalou and Juan Pablo Angel team up with the NBA stars in a free-flowing, playground-style game of “sawker.” By the looks of this promotional video, this year’s event could involve Joe Cole, Alessandro Del Piero, Gennaro Gattuso, Massimo Ambrosini, Thierry Henry and dare we say maybe even the great Kaka!
