Scolari Lashes Out
Five months after departing Stamford Bridge under a cloud, Luis Felipe Scolari has given a scathing review of modern day football using his failed term at Chelsea as proof.
Claiming players rule football and managers are ultimately at their mercy, Scolari has for the first time singled out the disobedience of Didier Drogba, Petr Cech and Michael Ballack as the primary reason for the Blues loss in form last winter. How an injured striker, an infrequently used midfielder and one of the best keepers in the world can cause so many leaked goals is beyond us but what is interesting is that prior to joining Chelsea, Scolari was considered the Brazilian sage; a wise-nut whose vast experience enabled him to forge strong relationships with his players. It is therefore ironic that Scolari has highlighted man-management difficulties as the primary reason for his failed tenure. With rumors of slack training sessions and Scolari’s own tardiness contributing to the Blues pre-Hiddink downturn, we think there is a little bit more to this story. At the very least we await Drogba’s response.

Scolari's comments confirm February newspaper reports
His comments merely confirm his failure. It’s the managers job to keep his players in line.
i fully agree! he should not blame individual players!
