Five Reasons Why Terry Should Leave…
and Five Reasons why he should stay.
It’s D-Day for John Terry. And the ‘D’ stands for Decision. Chelsea’s chartered airplane bound for their American pre-season tour takes off on Thursday, and the England and Chelsea captain must decide whether he’s going to be on it.
Leave for Man City:
1. Money. Boatloads of it – giving Terry‘s mum and mother-in-law even less of a reason to get caught shoplifting.
2. Have you spent your entire career at the same job? Neither have we. It’s time for a change of scenery – even if it is Manchester.
3. Wayne Bridge and Shawn Wright-Phillips: Two of Terry‘s best mates are already up there counting their money.
4. Mark Hughes. The former Chelsea striker left the club just as Terry was breaking into the team, but Sparky has a potential to become the real mentor and father-figure that Mourinho couldn’t become.
5. Fewer French whiners. We can only imagine how irritating it must be to listen to Drogba, Malouda, and Anelka day in and day out.

Signed, sealed, delivered...I'm yours!
Stay at Chelsea:
1. He’s Mr. Chelsea. As clichéd as that sounds, it’s true. He’s the only first team regular who came up through the youth system and has been at the club half his life.
2. He owes the club…and the fans. We’re not just talking about his penalty gaffe which cost the club its coveted Champions League title and associated winnings. What about the unwavering support the club offered when faced with Terry‘s nightclub brawl in 2002 or following his disrespectful drinking binge after the attacks of September 11th.
3. With the World Cup coming up next summer, Terry can’t afford the distraction of settling into a new club. As captain of the national team, he’ll have to be completely focused – he needs stability.
4. He also needs to be playing against Europe’s toughest opponents. Only Chelsea can offer Champions League football. Man City didn’t even qualify to play in the new UEFA Europa League.
5. Money. At the end of your career what’s the difference between £50mill and £60mill – you’re rich either way.

Mr. Chelsea adored by the Blues fans
Nice! I especially liked the one about how moving to Manchester City makes it less of a reason for his mother and mother-in-law to go shoplifting. Boo-yaa!
I could easily add another 100 reasons why he should leave…..
