A City's Welcome To Tevez

Living in the shadow of arch-rivals Manchester United for the best part of three decades, you can’t blame City for seizing the opportunity to put one over their more illustrious neighbors when given the chance.

That moment has arrived. Much to the gripe of United supporters, particularly those in and around the downtown area, Man City have unveiled a rather ironic billboard at the bottom of Deansgate, one of city’s main shopping streets. The giant sky blue screen welcomes new signing and former Red Devil favorite Carlos Tevez to the city of Manchester.

Considered by many to be the only club in Manchester with United located in the borough of Trafford, the City hierarchy have managed to rile the combustible Sir Alex and agitate Red Devil wounds still raw from seeing the Argentinean depart for the Eastlands.
