Kenyon Leaves Chelsea for New Challenge

Peter Kenyon, football CEO extraordinaire, announced today he’s leaving Premiership side Chelsea for greener pastures although he won’t reveal where those pastures are.

After five and a half seasons at the West London club, he says it’s time to move on, and a lot of people will agree. But amidst all those Uncle Fester jokes is the best CEO in sports. A commercial mastermind, a real football man and having met the chap on numerous occasions, actually a pretty nice guy (notwithstanding that he came close to making our list of the Most Hated Men in Football.)

We don’t think he was pushed. We just think he felt it was time to find another challenge. And we hope he finds one soon. But don’t fall for the Man City trap.
