Sixteenth Week Conclusions in the Premiership
Hello there, Bobby! A few weeks ago, Fulham manager Roy Hodgson publicly declared his backing of ‘Bobby Zamora for England.’ While everyone from the Sun to the Daily Telegraph laughed off the former Brighton & Hove Albion striker’s chances, 10-goal Zamora, who notched another in the Cottagers win over United this weekend, might yet get the call from Capello.
Who said Arsenal were out of it? When cross-town rivals Chelsea steamrolled the Gunners 3-0 at the Emirates at November’s end, even Arsenal fans were ruling their side out of the title race. Victories against Stoke, Liverpool and Hull have seen Wenger’s side shoot up to 3rd place, 6 points behind leaders Chelsea – and with a game in hand.
Sparky leaves on a high. Apparently in the dark concerning his shock sacking (you could have fooled us, Sparky, with your waves to crowd at the final whistle), Mark Hughes departs Manchester City on the back of wins against Arsenal, Chelsea and Sunderland. While Hughes’ absence will be sorely missed from the Premiership, we’re sure that he’ll be back in the game in no time.

See you... never.
