Football Stops for a Day
The continental European clubs are in the midst of their winter break – no games in the Premiership today, though most teams play tomorrow. Premier League players spent Christmas morning with their families, and then it was business as usual as they headed off to their respective training facilities to make final preparations for tomorrow.
We at Footy Factor took the morning off also. But we all know that football never stops and we’re back at our computers ready to report the next hot story.
There is a lot ahead in the next few weeks. The third round of the FA Cup starts in a week, and all the big clubs will be involved. The Champions League and the Europa Cup start up again in early February. And of course the home stretch towards the FAPL trophy officially starts tomorrow.
One key Premiership story to look out for in 2010 is who will be the next manager to be fired. Rafa? Phil Brown? Zola? David Moyes?
Together, we will watch developments and report our views. And we’ll look for your feedback and comments in response.
For those who celebrate Christmas, then Happy Christmas to you. For those who do not, enjoy the day off from work.
Seasons Greetings from the Footy Factor team – Trevor, William and myself.
