Contenders for the Liverpool Job
Rafa Benitez is a Dead Man Walking. The only thing that’s saving him from the sack is the fact that Liverpool do not have enough money to pay out his contract and hire a decent replacement. Otherwise, he would have been axed the second after Liverpool were dumped out of the FA Cup by Reading. Maybe this summer, after Liverpool end the season missing out on a spot in the Champions League, the club’s owners will realize they have no choice but to start afresh.

The Sentimental Choice: Kenny Dalglish. King Ken left too early after his last spell as Liverpool manager in 1991, and it’s obvious that the Anfield faithful would welcome back this Merseyside legend with open arms. But if Kevin Keegan’s and Alan Shearer’s failed stints at Newcastle taught us anything, a club should be wary of going with its heart, rather than its head. Odds 4-1

Rafa will stay FACT, the only people who want him gone are the usual clueless armchair pundits who wouldn’t know football if it bit them on the ar5e.
He will stay until the summer. If they miss out on a top 4 spot he’ll be off. He did promise as much. They’ve been awful this season and you can’t argue with his poor summer transfers… Aquilani, Johnson.
