Contenders for the Liverpool Job
Rafa Benitez is a Dead Man Walking. The only thing that’s saving him from the sack is the fact that Liverpool do not have enough money to pay out his contract and hire a decent replacement. Otherwise, he would have been axed the second after Liverpool were dumped out of the FA Cup by Reading. Maybe this summer, after Liverpool end the season missing out on a spot in the Champions League, the club’s owners will realize they have no choice but to start afresh.
The contenders for the hot seat are already lining up…
The Long Shot: David Moyes. Shown he is a master at getting the most out of his players at Everton, which would certainly be something that appeals to Liverpool’s cash-strapped board. But even though it seems like Moyes has done everything he can at Everton and it’s time for him to move on, it’s still not clear whether he’s ready for a job at one of Europe’s biggest clubs. Odds 50-1
Why not? Put a suit on him and Moyes fits the bill.
