Contenders for the Liverpool Job
Rafa Benitez is a Dead Man Walking. The only thing that’s saving him from the sack is the fact that Liverpool do not have enough money to pay out his contract and hire a decent replacement. Otherwise, he would have been axed the second after Liverpool were dumped out of the FA Cup by Reading. Maybe this summer, after Liverpool end the season missing out on a spot in the Champions League, the club’s owners will realize they have no choice but to start afresh.
The contenders for the hot seat are already lining up…
The Act of Desperation: John Barnes. Couldn’t manage his way out of a paper bag, but the former midfield dynamo might still have a few sympathizers left at his old club. Odds 1000-1
Great player, miserable manager. Barnes stands no chance, right?

He will stay until the summer. If they miss out on a top 4 spot he’ll be off. He did promise as much. They’ve been awful this season and you can’t argue with his poor summer transfers… Aquilani, Johnson.
