Inter Milan v Chelsea: Gladiators Marching into the Coliseum

Italy’s number one team versus England ’s number one team – it was a match we couldn’t miss. Just like Jose Mourinho, we’d been counting down the days until Chelsea traveled to the San Siro to meet Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League tie. We scored ourselves a ticket, booked ourselves a cheap flight, and were on our way to Milano. But it gets even better: we were able to call in a few favours from our Italian contacts (grazie!) and gain backstage access to the contest. Armed with our trusty camcorder, we nabbed some incredible behind-the-scenes footage. We’re happy to share it with our readers.

Maybe we had Italy on the brain, but as Inter and Chelsea emerged from the tunnel, we couldn’t help but feel like they were two teams of gladiators marching into the coliseum for a fight to the death.
