Samba swagger. AC Milan need to win by two clear goals if they’re going to feature in the quarter-final draw. And who better to bank your mortgage on scoring those goals? None other than the mouth-watering duo of Ronaldinho and Pato. Ronaldinho has been directly involved in four of the Rossoneri’s last five goals in the Champions League (three strikes and one assist). Pato is back to his best having scored 4 goals in three games since the first-leg defeat.
Theatre of Dreams. Contrary to popular belief, Old Trafford is no longer a fortress in Europe Besides Besiktas sweeping all the points in 2009 and CSKA Moscow scoring three on the same patch three weeks earlier, AC Milan have a special fondness for the Theatre of Dreams. I have to disagree with the 2nd and 3rd points. Old Trafford is THE fortress in the Champions League. You said it yourself, that in the knockout stages Milan are the last team to win there since 2005. That is quite a record.
David Beckham probably won’t be too big of a factor. He is a good player but I am sure Sir Alex will minimize his touches.
Point number 1 is spot on. Ronaldinho has been great this season so far and Pato is phenominal. I doubt they will score 2 goals but you never know with those two.
