Director of the Year goes to Jose Mourinho. His players rolled over at the slightest touch, fell dead when blown upon, suffered serious (?) injuries after a small tug. Great stuff. An amazing performance.
But, Actor of the Year? That must go to Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets. A slight touch in the neck by Thiago Motta and Busquets fell, rolled, winced, whined and showed us what it’s like to get hit by a train. Great stuff.
But TV cameras also caught Busquets taking a sly peak as he rolled around to see if the referee was watching. And he most certainly was. A beautiful con.
Stuff from Masterpiece Theatre. Ignore the fact that Inter didn’t have a sniff of goal and rarely even had the ball in their own half.
Congratulations Special One. See you in Madrid.
