Cameroon Lead African World Cup Exodus
Cameroon‘s exit marks the first blow in what is quickly developing into a whitewash of African sides from the first World Cup to be staged on the continent. Nigeria are rooted to the bottom of Group B. Algeria are last in Group C. Ivory Coast no longer have their destiny in their own hands and even hosts South Africa have struggled on home soil scoring only one goal on their way to propping up Group A. Only Ghana, impressively leading Group D ahead of Germany and Serbia, realistically retain hope of progressing to the knockout stage.
So far in the tournament 12 of the matches played have featured African competition, but only one of those – Ghana‘s 1-0 over Serbia – has been a win. World Cup 2010 was supposed to be Africa’s coming out party. In reality it has been the complete opposite.

It's a crying shame Cameroon are out
